Annual Flower Festival

Friday, May 26, 2017 - Monday, May 29, 2017 - Whaplode St Mary - Fair/bazaar

The Annual Flower Festival is to take place from Friday, 26th May to Monday, 29th May. The theme is 'All Things Bright and Beautiful.' There will be a performance by various musicians on the Saturday afternoon, and on Sunday the 10.30am service will be 'Songs of Praise', followed by an organ recital given by three organists.
The festival will conclude on the Monday evening at 5pm with the traditional Hog Roast, followed by a grand draw.

Sutton St James Flower Festival

Friday, May 26, 2017 - Monday, May 29, 2017 - Sutton St James - Flower festival

Our Annual Flower Festival - this year the theme is 'Hymns and Popular Songs inspired by the Bible'.

St James will be decorated by members of the congregation and invited arrangers, and will feature displays by our village children's groups and the school.

The festival will be open every day from 10am to 4pm, and refreshments will be available in church. Lunches will be served in the church hall (Bells Drove) from 11.30am to 2pm daily. A Sunday roast will be available (bookings only) on Sunday.

There will be a selection of stalls on the green in front of the church, including plants, homemade cakes, crafts, books and a tombola.

Songs of Praise: Sunday, 28th May 2017 (6pm), followed by refreshments, including the infamous Churchwarden's Punch!

Dates and times: Open 10am to 4pm daily, from Friday, 26th May 2017 to Monday, 29th May 2017 (inclusive).

Ishmael (the Revd Ian Smale) - singer, songwriter, speaker, author and deacon at Chichester Cathedral - will bring his 'Sting in Tale Tour' to St Nicholas' Church, Haxey.
Come and sing-a-long to his fun stories and parables and hear him talk about his family and farming years. Breaking the law and discovering grace. Punk and glories, facing chemo and finding a cathedral! Plus a whole lot more.

Sponsored Bike, Ride and Stride

Saturday, September 09, 2017 - Holbeach All Saints - Other

The Lincolnshire Churches Trust are holding their annual Bike Ride and Stride, which covers the whole of Lincolnshire and many of the churches open their doors to visitors, with some offering refreshments.

People are encouraged to travel between churches, being sponsored for each church they visit, and this can be done by walking, cycling, running or by mobility scooter, and it does not matter if you only visit two churches!

Any proceeds are then spilt between your chosen church and the Trust.

(Although this event is listed here under Holbeach, All Saints, this event is diocese-wide.)

Christmas Tree Festival

This event is a Christmas Tree Festival featuring over 30 real Christmas trees decorated according to a theme. This year's theme is 'Once Upon A Time'. Each tree will be decorated by local schools, community groups and individuals, each tree depicting a well-known story.
Over the weekend we will have a Yuletide Craft & Gift Fayre in our church, with each stall offering different handmade crafts and gifts.
We provide entertainment thoughout the festival courtesy of schools, choirs, cheerleaders, etc.
Homemade refreshments are also available.
