Announcement from the Bishop of Lincoln:
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Blaney of Lee Bolton Monier-Williams as Registrar of the Diocese of Lincoln, to succeed Julie Robinson. The appointment follows a rigorous tender process, and will take effect from 1 July 2017.
Susan Newell and Howard Dellar have been appointed as deputies and the Chief Clerk is Stephen Borton.
Ian and his team will provide legal advice to the bishop and his senior staff, PCCs and parish clergy, and diocesan officers and committees. As Registrar of the Consistory Court, Ian will ensure the efficient running of the faculty system and support His Honour Judge Mark Bishop in his work as Chancellor.
From 1 July, all Registry enquiries and correspondence should be sent to the new Registrar at:
The Bishop of Lincoln’s Registry
1 The Sanctuary
Tel: 020 7222 5381
Fax: 020 7222 7502
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Julie Robinson for her excellent work as a registrar, and offer her our very best wishes for the future as she focusses on her work as an agricultural lawyer, understanding the implications of Brexit.
I’m pleased that we have been able to appoint Lee Bolton Monier-Williams, who are well connected in central London to the Church of England, Parliament and the Charity Commission, and who act for a number of dioceses through their established ecclesiastical and charity law department. They are committed to being accessible to the parishes of the diocese, and you will see Ian and his colleagues regularly at diocesan events.
