The Reverend Nicholas Munday has been appointed to the post of Part Time Rector of South Lafford and Part Time Discipleship Development Adviser.
He is currently Assistant Curate of the Monmouth Group of Parishes in the Diocese of Monmouth.
Nick hopes that his background in education will be useful in his new roles.
Born in Glasgow and brought up in Solihull and Chester, Nick took a degree in Classics at Cambridge and went on to teach in Oldham and then at Manchester Grammar School, where he became head of department, head of sixth form and deputy head. He trained for ordination at Cuddesdon before serving his curacy in Monmouth in the Church in Wales.
Nick said: "It's great that the next stage of our pilgrimage brings us to Lincolnshire - I'm very much looking forward to meeting new companions on the way."
Nick and his wife Liz have walked on the Camino in Spain, from Winchester to Canterbury and the St Cuthbert's Way to Holy Island. They have two grown-up daughters, Lydia and Rachel, and a black-and-white cat, Caesar. They are accompanied in their move to Lincolnshire by Nick's 93-year-old mother, Betty.
The Bishop of Lincoln will preside at the service of institution and installation on 10 July at St Peter ad Vincula Church, Threekingham.
