Canon Andrew Vaughan receives Mayoral Medal

25 April 2016

The Revd Canon Andrew Vaughan has been awarded a City of Lincoln Mayoral Medal.

Andrew, who serves as Chaplaincy Director of Lincolnshire Chaplaincy Services, is also industrial chaplain in the Greater Lincoln area, a role he has held since 1994, when he moved back to the city where he completed his ministerial training.

As well as holding the positions of club chaplain and official club photographer at Lincoln City Football Club, Andrew is passionate about supporting the role of manufacturing within the economy, regularly visiting the Siemens gas turbines sites in the city and Dynex Semi Conductors.

The current chair of developmentplus (the trading name of Lincoln Community Development Worker Project, formerly known locally as LCDP), Andrew is also chairman of Just Lincolnshire, he convenes the faith-based Emergency Response group, and he was involved in the working party to establish Lincoln as a City of Sanctuary.

In addition, Andrew is chaplain to the City of Lincoln Freemen's Gild, and he has been involved in the hosting of both a city-based Engineering Breakfast and Spark!, a bi-annual engineering festival in Lincoln Cathedral.

Please join us in congratulating Andrew on his receipt of this significant award.
