30 April 2014
Churches across South Holland are currently awash with colour for their annual flower festivals.
Floral displays fill many of the area's churches during late April and early May, each with their own unique theme.
Many months in the planning, teams of willing volunteers have used their creative talents to produce varied displays, filling their church with flowers.
Visitors can take the opportunity to explore some of the area's beautiful buildings and architecture while appreciating the magnificent displays before enjoying some home cooking as well as various stalls and exhibitions.
The attached image comes from St Mary's, Long Sutton where the theme is Count Your Blessings. More than 3,000 people had visited the church during the first three days of the 10-day festival which runs until Monday, May 5.
