Advent wreath festivals
The popular Cathedral Quarter Advent Wreath Festival is underway at the Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene in the Bailgate area of Lincoln. The church will be open for visitors from 10.30am-11.30am Monday to Friday, and also from 2-4pm on Sunday, 11th December. The church will be open from 12 noon until 6pm during the Lincoln Christmas Market, and at 6pm on Thursday, 15th December for a lantern procession, nativity and carols.
An Advent Wreath Festival is also taking place at St Matthew's Church in Skegness.
In addition to this, the church will host a series of craft fairs on Saturday, 3rd December (9.30am-11am), Saturday, 10th December (10am-12 noon) and Saturday, 17th December (10am-12 noon).
The fairs will offer an opportunity to browse crafts that might make Christmas gifts, and there will also be live season music and refreshments (the church will be open every day throughout Advent from 10am until 1pm so that people may visit the Advent Wreath Festival).

Christmas tree festivals
All are invited to a West End Lights & Christmas Tree Festival at St Faith's Church (Charles St West, Lincoln) on Friday, 2nd December (5.30pm), and St Faith's will also provide the venue for a West End Community Carol Service on Sunday, 5th December at 5pm. A further festival, featuring 'a host of angels' made by people from the local community, is to be held as St Mary's Church in Horncastle over the weekend of Saturday, 3rd and Sunday, 4th December. For more details, please see here
Remembering St Andrew
An evening celebration of St Andrew will take place at St Andrew's United Church, Kirton in Lindsey, on Wednesday, 30th November at 7pm. This special event will also include a celebration of the re-dedication of the church following repairs and refurbishment, and refreshments will be served after the service. The Journey of the Magi
St Andrew's United Church in Kirton in Lindsey will also be the venue for a special event to be held on Friday, 2nd December (7pm). Journey of the Magi is described as 'a spectacular Christmas treat by Springs Dance Company' suitable for everyone aged over three years.
Tickets are £7.50 (adults), £3 (children aged 10 years and under), with a family ticket (two adults and two children) costing £18. For further details please click on the poster below:

Kirkby Underwood Crib Festival
From Friday, 2nd December until Sunday, 4th December, there is to be a Crib Festival of Nativity Scenes at St Mary & All Saints Church, Kirkby Underwood, near Bourne. It is hoped that as many as 30 cribs will be on display at this free event, with donations invited towards the upkeep of the church. The festival will be open from 11am until 4pm on the Friday and Saturday, and from 12 noon until 4pm on the Sunday. Light refreshments will be available, and all are most welcome.
Jazz and Shakespeare
There is to be an evening of traditional jazz with the Apex Jazz Band at Holy Trinity Church in Messingham on Saturday, 3rd December (7.30pm). Tickets (£10, including refreshments) are available from Alison Mawson on 01724 764 025, or it is also possible to pay on the door.
On the same evening, all eyes will be on Shakespeare at a special event to be held at All Saints' Church in Nettleham. Tickets for an evening of songs, scenes and sonnets are £8 (under-16s £5) and they are available from Beckside Newsagents (opposite the church in the village) or by calling 01522 754 752.
Looking forward to Christmas in Utterby
St Andrew's Church in Utterby is to host a Christmas Tree Festival over the weekend of Saturday, 10th and Sunday, 11th December. To include a Christmas stall and refreshments, there is free entry to the festival, with additional ticketed events to include 'Julie Peasgood's Christmas Evening' on Friday, 9th December and a finale featuring the Steve Barrie Band on Sunday, 11th December.
