25 October 2017
In the Diocese of Lincoln we have a mission statement that states that we are here to grow healthy, vibrant and sustainable churches to transform lives in greater Lincolnshire.
Advent provides a good opportunity to pause and reflect, and to ask How are we doing? How are lives being transformed? And what might we learn from such transformations that can help us be even more effective in our mission?
As before, the diocesan Advent resource is offered in two parts: a four-week course, suitable for groups, and daily devotional readings for use in families or by individuals.
Using the four key themes of transformation – prayer, pastoral care, justice and vision – we will think about what brings about, or helps to bring about, transformation?
To order hard copies of the booklet, please call the Mission Team on 01522 50 40 50 or send an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org (For requests made by email, please include contact details, number of copies required and whether it is possible for the required copies to be collected from Edward King House in Lincoln.)

As mentioned previously, the Revd Rhona Knight (Assistant Curate, St Denys, Sleaford) has advised that a ‘Retreat Day for Ladies’ is to be held at St Denys’ Church and Hall on Saturday, 9th December 2017 (9.30am–4pm).
It is said that, in the midst of all the preparations for Christmas, the day will provide ‘time and space for stillness and reflection’. Different forms of creative art will offer attendees the opportunity to explore the theme of O Come, O come Emmanuel, and further information, including a booking form, may be found by clicking on the document published below.
