Michelle Tucker-Lowe, PA to the Diocesan secretary, has completed a mammoth 10 day bike ride to raise money for charity.
Mickey, as she is known, and her partner Alexander Wardlaw, or Zander, cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats on a grueling 1000 miles journey.
The ride was to raise funds for Combat Stress and to help towards sending Mickey to the World Scout Jamboree in Japan later this year, where she has been selected as part of the International Planning Team.
Having both served in the military, Combat Stress is a cause close to both of them. "Both of us have seen and experienced the impact that life in the armed forces can have on a person and how this can effect them and their families in so many different ways'" explains Mickey.
"The trauma of mental illness and PTSD can come on suddenly or creep up over time. Recognising these signals and finding the right help can be incredibly difficult. The work of Combat Stress is vitally important in ensuring our Servicemen and women get the help and care that they deserve."
