The Diocese of Lincoln would like to welcome its new media and press officer, Daniel Herrick.
Daniel has joined the Diocese from the Royal Air Force, where he served as a photographer for 5 years. In that time he was posted to RAF Cottesmore in Rutland, as well as RAF Scampton and RAF Coningsby, both in Lincolnshire.
In his role as photographer, Daniel worked with the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team (RAFAT), better known as the Red Arrows, and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF), where he was given the opportunity to fly in the Lancaster Bomber over Buckingham Palace, for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012.
Daniel is pleased to be joining the Diocese saying, "this is a great opportunity for me and I am relishing the challenges which lay ahead." He continued, "I feel I was able to achieve everything I set out to in the Air Force, so being able to set new goals is very exciting to me."
In his role as media officer, Dan is looking to hear from people around the Diocese and tell stories from every corner of Lincolnshire. So if you have a story you would like published online or in the Crosslincs magazine, then please contact Daniel via email; firstname.lastname@example.org or call him on 01522 50 40 37.
