News from the Lincoln Branch of the Prayer Book Society

The Lincoln Branch of the Prayer Book Society has published details of some forthcoming events:

At 3pm on Saturday, 24th September at St Augustine’s Parish Church, Legsby Avenue, Grimsby, Fr Edward Martin will welcome members, friends and supporters to a service of Choral Evensong. Refreshments will be available, and there will also be an opportunity to view Fr Edward Martin’s collection of Prayer Books and Bibles. If you are interested in attending, please let the Revd Canon Andrew Hawes know in advance for catering purposes (please call 01778 591 358 or email).

The following month there will be a training event for clergy. In cooperation with the Revd Bill Goodman (Continuing Ministerial Development Officer), an event designed to assist clergy in the leading of Prayer Book services has been arranged for Thursday, 20th October from 7pm-9pm at Edward King House in Lincoln.

Next year, the Society plans to attend the Festival Evensong for the Cathedral’s patronal festival on Saturday, 25th March, and the AGM will be held on Saturday, 13th May at 3pm (venue to be confirmed). For further information please see here
