Recent appointments, retirements, resignations and licensing

The Bishop of Lincoln would like to announce the following notifications of retirement, resignation, appointment and licensing.


The Reverend Jean May Wrisdale retired from her post of assistant curate of Fotherby parish on 31st December 2014.

The Reverend George Douglas Massey retired from his post as incumbent of the benefice of Messingham with effect from 24th October 2014.

The Reverend Sandra Brown retired from her post as Associate Priest at St George's Church, Swallowbeck with effect from 31st December 2014.

The Reverend Alan Littlewood retired from his post as Priest in Charge of the benefice of the Barkston and Hough Group and Ancaster Wilsford Group with effect from 31st December 2014.


The Reverend Paul Darbyshire resigned from his post of non-stipendary assistant curate of St Botolph's Church in Quarrington with effect from 30th September 2014.


The Reverend Canon Nicolas John Buck has been appointed as Vicar of the Benefice of St Giles, Lincoln. His installation service will take place on 20th April at 7.30pm in St Giles Church, Lincoln. 

The Reverend (Peter) Charles Patrick has been appointed Rector of the Benefice of the Horncastle Group. His installation service will take place on 26th February at 7.30pm in St Mary's Church, Horncastle. 


The Reverend Jacqui Morton was licensed by the Bishop of Grimsby, the Rt Revd Dr David Court, on 21st December 2014 as Assistant Priest to the benefices of Alford with Rigsby, Well, Saleby with Beesby and Maltby, Bilsby with Farlesthorpe, Hannah cum Hagnaby with Markby; and the parishes of Willoughby with Sloothby and Claxby and Ulcey with Fordington.
