Reverend John Leach has been appointed Developing Discipleship Adviser and Trainer

The Bishop of Lincoln has announced the appointment of the Reverend John Leach who will join the Discipleship Team in the Diocese.

He takes on the post of Developing Discipleship Adviser and Trainer.

An Essex boy and proud of it, John has spent 22 years in parish ministry, in Norfolk, Sheffield, Coventry, Jersey and Folkestone. He also worked for five years in a diocesan Parish Development post in Wales, and five as Director of Anglican Renewal Ministries.

He was recently the Vicar of St John's Folkestone in the Diocese of Canterbury and is a trainer, liturgist and musician.

He also lays claims to spending a few months as possibly IKEA's only ordained truck driver.

He is married to Chris and has two grown-up sons and a daughter.

The Discipleship Team will be licensed at a Commissioning Service on 25 September at St Swithin's Church, Lincoln.
