A weekend of joy for the diocese as we welcomed the Rt Revd Dr David Court as Bishop of Grimsby.
On Friday he was made bishop by the Archbishop of Canterbury in St Paul's Cathedral, in a service of consecration. The service was attended by many of the clergy from our diocese and was a splendid sight.
Then, on Sunday, we welcomed him and installed him into his seat at Lincoln Cathedral. Bishop David was clearly delighted to see so many people from the diocese there, and in his address to the congregation he said it was 'an honour and a privilege' to be the Bishop of Grimsby.
