08 November 2017
People from across the diocese have gathered at St Mary’s Church in Horncastle to spend a day together exploring the ministry of offering intercessions. All of the places for the day were quickly snapped up and a second day (later this month) has had to be organised to accommodate everyone who wanted a place.
Canon Stephen Hoy, Diocesan Spirituality Adviser, who organised and led the day said: “It was a great opportunity for people to take a step back and think about what intercessions are, what place they have in our liturgies and to share ideas and experiences. There was a lot of energy and interest throughout the day, with much laughter and conversation. One participant commented: ‘It was a wonderful workshop. Everyone left buzzing, feeling inspired and encouraged as well as challenged’.”
Dates and details of spirituality workshops and conferences for 2018 will be available soon. In the meantime, to book for the next day event (which is to be held on Tuesday, 14th November 2017), please contact Stephen on 01522 52 56 21 or via email.
