The Edward King Centre is a place of Christian hospitality for all who come to it. In particular, it offers a place where Christians can come to address the issues of their calling, as individuals and as a Church; where other individuals and groups can be resources in pursuing their work and other interests, and where Church and world can meet, share and seek to collaborate on issue of significance.

San Damiano Metheringham House

In the heart of the  Diocese of Lincoln, the sisters of the Community of St Francis welcome day visitors to share their life and to use the facilities of the house. Visitors are welcome to pray the offices with the sisters and the house also has one room available for a residential guest.

Day Visitors (individuals and groups)
The Community at Metheringham provides a comfortable, friendly place to visit for the day, for quiet days, meetings, somewhere to relax, to work, to study, to pray and to spend time with God.
There are 2 rooms available: the Sitting Room (maximum 12 people) and the Chapel/Conference Room (maximum 24 people).  Tea, coffee and biscuits are supplied and guests are asked to bring their own packed lunch.  Groups can also come for half a day or an evening.

Resident Guest Room
There is also one room available for a resident guest to stay on retreat, or for a few days ‘away from it all’, somewhere to come for holiday,  sabbatical or just some peace and quiet.
The house is generally open from Wednesday to Sunday for resident guests, but at times those staying for Individually Guided Retreats may stay over on Mondays respecting the community’s silent day and the more informal  structure of the day.The Community of St Francis
