Our Link with South East India

The Diocese of Lincoln along with its Methodist and United Reformed Church partners is linked with two Dioceses in the Church of South India.  The Tirunelveli Diocese and Tuticorin-Nazareth Diocese can be found in Tamil Nadu in the South Eastern tip of India.

The original link set up in the early 1990s was with the Tirunelveli Diocese which due to massive church growth split or 'bifurcated' into the two new diocesan areas we are linked with today.

The link is designed to help make the world church come alive for people in the partner churches in terms of culture, education, mission, ecumenism, theology & liturgy, primarily through prayer, communication and the facilitation of mutual visits.
