Benington Community Heritage Trust (BCHT), a local community group, has recently transformed the closed All Saints church in Benington village into a community and events centre.  It is holding an event on Saturday 6th April to celebrate the completion of the project. The event is tailored towards community groups, not-for-profit organisations or charities who intend to deliver a new use for a historic building.

Members from the BCHT will give a presentation about the various processes and challenges that had to be both considered to ensure the project was a success. These included the need to understand what the local (rural) area required of the building, how to set up a Board of Trustees to oversee the project, how to pitch for investment and secure support as well as the actual physical development and construction. A Q&A session will follow the presentation and a tour of the building will also take place.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and cost £3. See Eventbrite for more details.

Light refreshments will be available, however please note that lunch will not be provided.
