News and events Events Lunchtime concert in aid of the charity Murdered Abroad A lunchtime concert will be held on Saturday 19th October in the Chapter House at Lincoln Cathedral. The concert will begin at 1.10pm. Performing will be the Lincoln University Chamber Choir and Soloists under the direction of Mark Wilde and Ed Wellman. Entrance to the concert is free although entrance to the cathedral is payable. There will be a retiring collection in aid of Murdered Abroad (Registered Charity No 1111725). The charity supports individuals and families who have lost a loved one as a result of an act of murder in a foreign country. A member of Lincoln Cathedral's congregation is supporting the charity after they lost a family member in an act of violence and were supported by Murdered Abroad. They want to raise funds for the charity to continue its work, supporting all those who find themselves in a similar situation. The charity is also campaigning for change within the UK to improve the assistance families receive from UK Police, Coroners and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office after their loved one is killed abroad. Booking for this event has now closed.
