Any registered charity, as well as any church or other exempted organisation, can apply for one of the Trust's open grant programmes, although the purpose of the project needs to support their primary charitable object which is to promote the Christian faith or any other charitable purpose.

All Churches Trust grants normally support projects that have a Christian foundation or links and reflect their areas of funding focus. These are:

• Building communities, especially where they are hurting or broken

• Helping people, especially those in particular need, to flourish

• Growing churches, spiritually and numerically

Their grants normally fund capital projects and equipment, not salaries or running costs. They only fund projects in the UK and Ireland.

There is no deadline for applications as they operate on a rolling basis and review applications as they come in.
