News and events Stories An announcement from Bishop David on interim arrangements within the diocese Bishop David, the acting bishop of Lincoln, is pleased to announce the following interim arrangements to ensure continuing high-quality oversight and delivery of ministry support in the diocese. Bishop Nigel Peyton is taking on the role of assistant bishop working with Bishop David primarily in the north of the diocese for two days a week. For the foreseeable future the Archdeacon of Boston, the Ven Dr Justine Alain Chapman, will be taking on the role of Interim Director of Ministry and Interim Principal of the Lincoln School of Theology. This allows the bishop of Grantham to delegate some of his work as the strategic lead for ministry in order to support Bishop David in covering episcopal duties. Archdeacon Justine will be continuing her work in supporting the people, clergy and parishes of the Boston Archdeaconry. Canon Dr Neil Burgess will be taking on the role of Interim Director of Studies and Formation in the Lincoln School of Theology whilst continuing as Ministry Team Lead. Bishop David thanks all three of them for taking on these interim roles and asks for your prayers as they help to support parish mission, the formation of candidates for ministry and the strategy work in developing the diocese’s ministry and mission transforming lives across greater Lincolnshire.
