Saturday, 12th May saw the staging of the now annual Faith and the Environment Conference, and this week Bishop Christopher has had the opportunity to see the effects of climate change in Fiji.

As part of our developing partnership with the Diocese of Polynesia (see here for some background), Bishop Christopher has been spending time in Fiji and Tonga as a guest of the Most Revd Dr Winston Halapua, Bishop of Polynesia and Primate and Archbishop of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand & Polynesia.

As part of his itinerary, Bishop Christopher has visited areas devastated by Tropical Cyclone Winston in February 2016, he has attended the opening of a marine centre, and he has heard of local experiences of coastal ministry, climate change and rising sea levels.

More will follow, and in the meantime please keep Bishop Christopher, Archbishop Winston and the people of Fiji and Tonga in your prayers.
