The recent floods in Wainfleet again saw the vital role that the Emergency Faith Responders play during such situations as they work alongside the blue light services and the council as part of the Emergency Planning Team.

Revd Canon Andrew Vaughan was involved with the response to the floods in Boston in 2013 and was also deployed to Wainfleet to see how they can help people who have been affected by the flooding.

Bishop David also visited Wainfleet recently to see first-hand how the church is playing a role.  He said: "It was good to see both the Emergency Faith Responders and the local church playing their part, along with all the other voluntary and statutory agencies, in responding to the flood and seeking to put their faith into action in practical ways for the people of Wainfleet."
