Bishop David recently attended the commissioning service for two of our young people as they made their preparations to serve the local church in Europe and India as part of BMS Action Teams.

Naomi Court of Dunholme and Cameron Macadam of Ruskington will serve overseas for six months, working with and alongside local Christians. They will each be looking for practical opportunities to make a difference in two very different parts of the world as part of their own Christian discipleship, and this will then be followed by two months back in this country during which time they will travel to different churches, schools and groups, in our diocese and further afield, sharing their experiences and findings.

Action Teams is a Christian gap year programme for 17–23 year-olds to serve God around the world. We hold Naomi and Cameron in our prayers, and look forward to hearing from them upon their return.
