New Housing Hub Regional Conference

The team at the New Housing Hub have selected Lincolnshire to host a further conference on the subject of developing the Church’s role in areas of new housing development.     There will be plenary sessions and seminars from a variety of practitioners from all parts of the UK, and insights from the Archbishop’s Commission on Housing, on which the Hub is represented.  This event will be of interest to individuals and churches who are looking to respond to new development in their area – either in terms of building a new church or in connecting existing churches with the incoming new population.

The date is:

Saturday, 16th May between 10am – 4.30pm (provisional).

The venue is St. George’s Church Place,  Cheyne Lane, Stamford.

More details will be posted in due course.

Road Victims Memorial Service

Each year, Churches Together in all Lincolnshire organise a Road Victims Memorial Service. This was most recently held in Scunthorpe in 2019. In November 2020 the service will be held at Lincoln Cathedral on Sunday, 22nd November, at 15.45pm.   It will take the form of an adapted Evensong, with the organ and choir.

Because this is a rare opportunity to hold the service in the Cathedral CTAL are hoping that many more people will attend the service to remember those who have lost a loved one on Lincolnshire's roads.  It is anticipated that many civic dignitaries – MPs, Mayors, Councillors and members of the Emergency Services will also be in attendance. CTAL also hopes for the largest attendance of church leaders from the county.

Please put this date in your diary.

If you plan to attend please let John Rose know.
