The Friends of All Saint’s Church, Goxhill, have been running a campaign to collect 'Crisis Handbags'. These are for women who leave home seeking urgent shelter and safety away from an abusive situation and need a bag containing emergency toiletries.

They held a donation event recently where the bags were gathered together and on the day they collected 60 bags of varying colours and designs which will be given to a women's refuge. One bag was donated by a lady from New Zealand who was visiting family in Goxhill.

Penny Carnell, for The 'Friends' and the Knit and Natter Group would like to say a big thank you to all those who made a bag donation for all their kindness, compassion and generosity as well as to those who provided the cakes and biscuits that accompanied the 'thank you' refreshments.
