News and events Stories House of Bishops to publish new Safeguarding polices The House of Bishops are currently reviewing the Church’s safeguarding policies as some were last updated in 2010. The proposal is to publish all new policies over the course of 2021 so please regularly check the safeguarding pages on the diocesan website. As updates are published, a link to the new guidance will be provided on the safeguarding home page of the diocesan website at the link below: https://www.lincoln.anglican.org/Listing/Category/safeguarding The latest update from April 2021 is as follows: The Safeguarding Learning and Development Framework 2021 was approved by the National Safeguarding Steering Group on 21 April 2021. It was published on Monday 26 April 2021. The Framework sets out details of the Church’s safeguarding learning pathways, and expectations of Church officers in respect of those pathways. This document is safeguarding guidance issued by the House of Bishops under section 5 of the Safeguarding and Clergy Discipline Measure 2016 and replaces all previous practice guidance policies of that name (dated: 2015, 2017, and 2019).Church bodies must plan for full implementation of this framework from January 2022.
