Copies of the May/June 2018 issue of Crosslincs, our diocesan magazine, will soon be available in churches around the diocese.

Thy Kingdom Come 2018, the global wave of prayer set to take place between Ascension Day and Pentecost (10–20th May), provides the cover feature for the new issue, as we look ahead to taking part at a diocesan, national and international level.

The new issue also includes a look back at the welcome extended by the people of Tattershall to the Prince of Wales, an update on the Scunthorpe Centre of Mission and a look ahead to a mission shaped ministry course planned for the autumn.

Our focus on children and youth includes a look at some helpful resources for ministry in this area, a new venture between Grimsby Minster and a local school, and a 100-mile challenge involving Bishop Nicholas and two of our clergy as part of the Bishop of Lincoln’s Ready for School Fund.

Elsewhere in the magazine we hear of some special forthcoming events taking place in our churches, we hear more about the eight-day pilgrimage with Bishop Christopher to the Holy Land in November, and we hear how a university student has received an award related to the sharing of her faith.

In addition, the regular Nature and Nurture column looks at recognising local beauty in our churchyards, there is the popular crossword, and our calendar of forthcoming events.

As well as the printed copies of the magazine, a PDF version of the issue is available here, and an Issuu-hosted ‘page-turning’ version is available here.

The expanded, and now monthly, diocesan prayer diary is available here.

We hope that you enjoy the May/June 2018 issue of Crosslincs.

Please do get in touch with Adrian Smith in the Communications Office if you have a story that we might share in a forthcoming issue. We would be very pleased to hear from you.
