The Mark Drama, which is said to be ‘a vivid and powerful presentation of Marks Gospel in 90 minutes’, is coming to Lincoln later this month.

A local community production, performed as theatre in the round without props, costumes or professional actors, The Mark Drama will involve a team of 15 people from the host churches of all ages and from many different walks of life. These people are all currently learning by heart the order of the events in Mark’s Gospel over a six-week period ahead of rehearsals that start just three days before the first performance!

Ahead of the performances a professional director will come to Lincoln to teach the team using only the Bible as a script, and further information on the production may be found on The Mark Drama website.

Described as “Astonishingly powerful” and “A gripping, immersive experience”, there will be two performances in Lincoln:

Saturday, 24th March at 7.30pm at St Peter in Eastgate Church, Lincoln (for tickets please click on this link)

Sunday, 25th March (Palm Sunday) at 6pm at Lincoln Carlton Academy, Carlton Boulevard, Lincoln (for tickets please click on this link)

Admission is free and doors will open 30 minutes before each performance. (The Mark Drama is not suitable for anyone under the age of eight.)
