The Revd Prebendary Alan Moses has taken over the role of Warden of Spirituality from Canon Stephen Hoy who recently retired.

Alan will be focused on the development of spirituality training events, overseeing the spiritual direction network and the development of spiritual resources.

He joins us from the Diocese of London, where he had been Vicar of All Saints, Margaret Street, Area Dean of St. Marylebone and a Prebendary of St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Alan was born and brought up in Teesdale in County Durham. He trained for ordination in Edinburgh and served there, latterly as Rector of Old St. Paul’s, Edinburgh, until moving to London in 1995.

He is married to Theresa, who until retirement was a Finance Adviser in the Diocese of London. They have two grown-up children and two granddaughters.

Alan said: “I am delighted to be here in the diocese of Lincoln and look forward to getting to know its people and places. Having lived in the heart of London for almost 25 years and relied on public transport, I am beginning to get used to distances measured in miles driven rather than stops on the Underground. My post is half-time but my intention is to work flexibly so as to be able to respond to needs and requests which do not fit into 9 to 5 office hours.”
