The safeguarding offices are minimally staffed from Tuesday 17th to Friday 20th December and Thursday 2nd to Monday 6th January and shut from Friday 20th December to Monday 6th January 2020.

We have put in place a specialised helpline that means you will have access to professional safeguarding advice over the Christmas period if you need urgent support.

If you are already supporting someone with a matter and you do not need urgent help and advice, then please bear with the team and they will respond to you as soon as they are back and have worked through any prioritised backlog.

If you do need urgent advice or support the 31:8 helpline is in place for all our parishes and for anyone wishing to report a concern.

Helpline: 0303 003 1111  select option 2

The helpline is operated by a multi-disciplinary team of safeguarding professionals during office hours (Mon-Fri -9.00am -5.00pm).

Outside of office hours (Mon-Fri – 5.00pm-9.00am and weekends) the helpline is operated by a member of the 31:8 Safeguarding Team taking any calls that are urgent and that cannot wait until the next working day.

Please note that all information shared with 31:8 will be dealt with confidentially and will be passed back to the diocesan safeguarding team to pick up when they are back on line.    Information will be shared by 31:8 with the Diocese of Lincoln to enable it to meet its obligations in terms of following multi agency safeguarding processes and managing any apparent risk to the community.
