News and events Stories safeTalk - training to help keep people safe safeTALK is described as ‘a half-day training in recognising when someone may be thinking of suicide and learning the steps to ask about suicide and connect people to appropriate support for further help’. The training is said to offer a simple but effective first set of skills towards keeping people safe from turning suicide thoughts into suicide behaviours. SafeTALK is part of an international programme of training and awareness courses that is evidence based and fully evaluated, including the two-day ASIST programme that teaches full intervention skills. Some who attend safeTALK go on to attend ASIST. safeTALK is available in Lincoln from 9am - 1pm on the following dates at a cost of £50 per person: Tuesday, 9th October 2018 Tuesday, 13th November 2018 Thursday, 29th November 2018 Places may be booked through the following link.
