Kindness has been spread across all the seven parishes in the Uffington Group. That includes the  following list of villages - Uffington, Barholm with Stowe, Braceborough, Greatford, Tallington, West Deeping and Wilsthorpe which are situated close to Stamford in the south of the county.

The kindness was in the form of a leaflet offering help with picking up shopping; friendly phone calls; posting mail or need of other urgent supplies which was delivered to every house in those villages.  The initiative has been spearheaded by the Revd Fr Aran Beesley, who working with his  Authorised Lay Minister, Les Baillie, have set up a system matching ‘needs’ to ‘offers’ of help using google docs, and this has been working exceptionally well.

Churchwarden and all round 'treasure' Colin Blagrove who looks after St Andrew the Apostle in West Deeping has placed a cross outside the church so that people can place a community message or flowers upon it. People can bring their own tag or or there are spare untouched tags at the church.

Carole Martin, PCC Secretary said: "We are all so proud of the work that everyone is doing in our churches to help support our local people during this difficult time. Everyone is pulling together and working as a team. I would like to say a particular thank you to our churchwardens who are the often unsung heroes of church life. They not only keep our churches well maintained and looked after during 'normal' times but they are all working especially hard at the moment in outreach to their communities."

Padre Stewart Shaw who has been assisting with ministry in West Deeping and other churches within the group for the past three years, will be live streaming a service using Zoom on Easter Sunday.
