Bishop David said: 

“We are very pleased to welcome today so many of our clergy from around the diocese who have generously taken time out of their parishes to join us. We give special thanks and warm greetings to Bishop Victoria Matthews, who will be leading us in our reflections over the next two days. She is the former bishop of Christchurch, in the Anglican Church of Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.

“Over the next couple of days we will be reflecting on our ministry, exploring everything from our first call to how we are held back from our vocation and the cost of call. We hope that the gathering will help everyone to feel a deeper sense of God’s calling to us and those present will both learn from colleagues and encourage them as they carry out God’s work in the wonderful county of Lincolnshire.”
