Ascension Day marked the beginning of Thy Kingdom Come 2018, the global wave of prayer that runs until Pentecost (20th May).

As in previous years, some of our parishes have planned some very creative things for this year, including the staging of special prayer events, prayer walks, 24/7 prayer and much more (for details see here).

As part of this, and as shown below, Lincoln Cathedral has a range of prayer stations prepared by its ordinand in residence, and a further range of Thy Kingdom Come resources for churches, individuals and families and young people are available here.

In addition, St Thomas’ Church in Market Rasen organised a Thy Kingdom Come Mini Messy Church. As part of this there was a prayer bear hunt around the church, they decorated teddy bear biscuits and shared in a time of worship, and each family was given a copy of Luke’s Gospel. The morning ended with a Prayer Bear picnic.
