News and events Stories We announce the sad death of Caroline Mockford, our former Registrar We were very sorry to learn of the recent death of Caroline Mockford. Caroline served as our Registrar for six years, and in 2014 she took up the role of Registrar of the Diocese of York. In September 2015 it was announced that Archbishop Sentamu had appointed Caroline to the role of Registrar of the Province of York, and she will be remembered with great admiration and respect in our diocese. In paying tribute to our former colleague, Bishop Christopher has said: “I worked closely with Caroline from when I was appointed in 2011 and she was a lovely colleague: hard-working, wise and engaging. Her work was appreciated by the parishes of the diocese and by me and my team in the office. Our hearts go out to her husband Bob, and her family and friends.” Please join us in holding Bob and Caroline’s family, friends and colleagues in prayer.
