DESCRIPTION:Facing the Storm Part 2: Living in a Different Future\n\n\n\nOn Saturday 27 September 2025\, from 10am to 4pm\, come along to the second instalment of the Facing the Storm series of climate conferences\, titled Living in a Different Future. The conference will take place at Alive Church\, Newland\, Lincoln (LN1 1XG). It is organised by Faith & the Environment Lincolnshire\, in partnership with the Diocese. \n\n\n\nKeynote speaker – Dr Ruth Valerio\n\n\n\nThe day will be shaped by a keynote address from Dr Ruth Valerio\, Programmes\, Partnerships and Advocacy Director for Embrace the Middle East. Dr Valerio is well-known for her previous leadership with Tearfund and A Rocha. She will explore how faith groups can help build resilient communities in a world facing increasing environmental and social challenges. \n\n\n\nPanels and workshops\n\n\n\nThroughout the day\, a panel of young speakers will share their perspectives on faith\, climate action\, and hope for the future. Attendees will take part in two practical workshop sessions. They will select from a range of interactive discussions and activities designed to inspire and equip communities. \n\n\n\nWorkshops will include Creating Community through Nature\, which focuses on nature and community-based activities. Floods\, Coasts and Communities offers insights into resilience for areas affected by flooding and coastal changes. Meanwhile\, Community Conversations is a Climate Café style gathering that provides a safe\, supportive environment. Here\, people share thoughts and feelings about climate and community life. \n\n\n\nComing together in a changing world\n\n\n\nThis climate conference is an opportunity for people of all ages and faith backgrounds to come together. Attendees will learn from experts and young voices alike. Lewis’s Narnia stories\, considering their spiritual themes and literary richness. Participants will be invited to reflect on the deeper meanings within the Narnian world and how these stories can speak to the Christian journey today. \n\n\n\nThe cost of the day is £16 per person. DESCRIPTION:The Bishop of Lincoln and the Roman Catholic Bishop of Nottingham are leading a pilgrimage in Lincoln in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday 24 May starting at 2pm. \n\n\n\nThe procession will start at the Church of our Lady of Lincoln (LN2 2HE) and head to Lincoln Cathedral\, where there will be a Liturgy of the Word and refreshments. \n\n\n\nEveryone is absolutely welcome to this special procession.
