SUMMARY:Lincolnshire Food Summit: Civil Food Resilience
DESCRIPTION:Need to know details\n\n\n\nThe Lincolnshire Food Summit is an opportunity for organisations in the food system to come together to share inspiring practice\, discuss key issues\, and solve problems together. \n\n\n\nTickets: £10 (low-cost and supporter tickets also available) HERE \n\n\n\nWhen: Thursday 14th May 2026\, 9:30am-4:00pm \n\n\n\nWhere: Wragby Town Hall \n\n\n\nBackground information\n\n\n\nThis year’s summit focuses on civil food resilience\, and is a place-based response to the important Just in Case report by Prof Tim Lang. \n\n\n\nFood Resilience means different things to different people: some are thinking about diversity in crops\, diets or supply chains\, others about the survival of their farming business or community organisation\, others about how to get adequate food on the table for their households – how to afford and access healthy diets day to day. \n\n\n\nBut these issues are fundamentally connected\, and fair\, inclusive solutions to food resilience require us to see them as such.  \n\n\n\nThe purpose of this year’s Lincolnshire Food Summit is to bring multiple conversations on food resilience into the same room\, co-create a shared picture of the issues in Lincolnshire\, and develop place-based responses together. \n\n\n\nThe Summit will make links between household- and community level resilience; access to healthy food; resilient diets\, and more.

SUMMARY:Edward King Lecture
DESCRIPTION:Join the lecture on Saturday 7th March at 3pm in Lincoln Cathedral’s Chapter House. \n\n\n\nThis year’s Edward King Lecture focuses on the subject ‘When the World Is Unravelling: What Faith and Science Tell Us About Living Wisely‘. \n\n\n\nIn a time of global strain and uncertainty\, questions of meaning and human flourishing press in with renewed urgency. This lecture explores how a theology of wellbeing and the practice of spiritual intelligence deepen and illuminate the Church’s inherited faith tradition. It invites us to rediscover the Church as a community of belonging\, where wisdom\, hope and energy are channelled into living well together in a fragile world.  \n\n\n\nThe Revd Dr Gillian Straine is an Anglican priest\, author\, coach\, and CEO of GoHealth. She holds a PhD in Physics and an MA in Theology. Her work sits at the intersection of theology\, health\, faith\, and science\, and she often partners with senior leaders on systems-aware theological practice\, health-focused mission\, and organisational development within complex systems\, supporting wise leadership and human flourishing.
