This email communication has been sent to all licensed Active Clergy, clergy who hold the bishop's Permission to Officiate, Retired Clergy, Readers, Authorised Lay Ministers, Churchwardens, Lay Chairs, PCC Secretaries, and the members of the Bishop’s Council of Diocesan Trustees.

Dear Colleagues,

We are very mindful of the volume of information that you have faced in the past week. Please know we are deeply grateful for the care that each of you are taking in the opening of churches in a way that is safe and sustainable.

Today we have some offerings that may be of use to you and to others. We also wish to express our thanks for the support you have shown to us with messages in the past week and also to the lay workers who were licensed at the weekend. The service is available on our Facebook Page, Lincoln Bishops' Office and also the diocesan website. Bishop Nicholas has also posted a message for the week about relationships in ministry on our Facebook page.

Opening churches
The national church has this blog site about options for online worship that you may wish to read (click here).

We are grateful to the mission team for material that is attached to this email (available at the foot of the page), such as posters for church entrances and templates for websites that may assist you in the process of opening some of your churches. The mission team have provided ways to help manage the expectations for those returning to church. This includes information posters and also possible templates for churches that are yet to open. You may already be aware of the ‘Opening the Doors’ material produced by the CofE Digital team. They are asking that as many churches as possible use this national branding in their communications, digital and physical. Our mission team material is designed to augment this. These are available as free downloads and printed copies can be ordered here. This includes posters with QR codes for smartphone users.

Attached to this email (available at the foot of the page) is also material from the St Luke's Clergy Wellbeing Centre on how our bodies react to stress and also the creation of what are called safe spaces. Should you have further questions about this material you can always contact our wellbeing officer, the Revd Jackie Johnson.

With our grateful thanks

Bishop David
