Friday update: partial opening of Edward King House today Edward King House in Lincoln is set to open from 9.30am this morning. Not all staff will be able to get to the office, but those present will do their best to respond to any telephone calls. (Contact details for the Bishops’ Office and diocesan staff, including email addresses, may be found here.) Please note that today’s meeting of the Diocesan Advisory Committee has been postponed and will be rearranged. Also, please note the following information shared by the Revd Dr Sally Myers, Principal of The Lincoln School of Theology: ‘After consultation with the Diocesan Secretary I have decided to postpone tomorrow’s seminar day. The weather is improving and some of the major roads are now safe. However, a number of smaller roads are still icy. Furthermore, the car park at Edward King House and surrounding pavements are very slippy indeed and there is currently a weather warning in place for tomorrow. The seminar day will therefore now take place next Saturday (10th March). I realise that not all of you will be free on the 10th and so alternative means of accessing teaching material will be made available to you. Please submit electronic copies of assignments as usual. Hard copies can either be posted or brought with you next week. In the meantime please stay warm and safe.’ We continue to pray for all those in need and for those working to ensure the safety and well-being of others.
