The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme

To ensure that the Diocesan Central Services are able to continue providing a quality service and are able to protect jobs for the future, the LDTBF has made the decision to offer voluntary furlough to members of staff during the coronavirus outbreak. This will mean that certain members of staff will be placed on a leave of absence for up to 3 months, with 80% of their wages up to £2,500 per month, being covered by the government’s Job Retention Scheme.

There are certain areas of diocesan life which will be on hold over the coming months. Below please find a list of the departments within Edward King House who will continue to be available to help you, unless we receive contrary advice from the Government or it is no longer possible.  We would like to reaffirm to our members of clergy and to our parishes that we are committed to adapting to these challenging times, and that we are dedicated to providing essential support to parishes whilst trying to protect these services for the future.

If this list changes or we have to have a complete lockdown, we will of course let you know.
