Members of the archdeaconry and the Diocese joined the Revd Canon Aly Buxton in a celebratory service for her Institution as the next Archdeacon of Stow and Lindsey. The service was graciously hosted by Stow Minster with the Acting Bishop of Lincoln the Rt Revd Stephen Conway, The Bishop of Grantham, the Rt Revd Dr Nicholas Chamberlain and The Bishop of Grimsby, the Rt Revd Dr David Court presiding. The choirs of both Saxilby and Stow united to make the service a joyous occasion and it was followed by a  drinks reception at the Cross Keys Gastro Pub and Tearoom in Stow village.

Aly said

"I was thrilled to be instituted as the new Archdeacon of Stow and Lindsey in Stow Minister. It was a fabulous occasion and thank you to everyone for your welcome. I am honoured to be your Archdeacon and was genuinely humbled by the Service.

I look forward to getting out and about, meeting people and visiting the churches and parishes of the Archdeaconry. I pray that I can serve you and your mission in the best and most appropriate way possible."

Aly will be Installed at Lincoln Cathedral during Evensong on September 20th and would be delighted for people across the Diocese to join her.
