Villagers in Stickford, near Spilsby celebrated the festive season at the weekend with a rather unusual Christmas tradition.

Over 70 people braved the cold weather to take part in a carol service and barbeque at St Helen’s Church organised by the secretary of the PCC Cheryl Steele.

The congregation sang a selection of their favourite carols before hearing the nativity story in rhyme. They were also treated to an unusual combination of mulled wine, beef burgers and hot dogs!

Local band, the aptly named Minus 2, also put on a performance playing a mix of Christmas classics and some of their favourite songs from back in the day.
