Last night saw the second of three events which gave thanks to our hard working safeguarding officers from across the diocese. This was held at St Swithin’s in Lincoln City centre and was led by the Reverend Jim Prestwood. Following Jim's moving service, the safeguarding team gave thanks to the hard work and valuable time our PSO’s give to serve the church.

During the address those present were reminded that safeguarding can sometimes be a challenging role but one that God equips us for in our Christian duty in the stewardship of His people. In Joshua 1.9, the Bible says "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." We give thanks to God that our Parish Safeguarding Officers are filled with compassion, courage and resilience.

After the service everyone present enjoyed singing along with the church's musicians to some traditional Christmas carols.

The third and final event is on Tuesday 17th December, 11am-1pm at St Hugh’s Church, Scunthorpe. We would love to see you there.
