This year we are recommending Archdeacon Justine’s new book The Resilient Disciple for Lenten studyWe are not producing our own notes, as the book contains outline sessions and questions to stimulate discussion. But we will be producing a set of brief videos which will introduce the material for each week.

In addition, Archdeacon Justine is leading a series of three quiet afternoons that relate to the book. Details appear below.

You can see a short introductory video, which tells you a little more about the material, using the link below:

A longer, five minute, video can be found using this link:

Based around the life of St Peter, the five sessions will explore Following, Flourishing, Falling, Faithfulness and Fruitfulness. The book is available from local Christian bookshops or online from SPCK or other booksellers, and the videos will be available to watch online with a YouTube link from the SPCK website approximately 10 days in advance of the week of each study as follows:

1) Follow can be found here:

2) Flourish can be found here:

3) Falling can be found here:

4) Faithful can be found here:

5) Fruitful available online from Friday, 29th March

In order to view the videos and use them in your group you will need either some YouTube downloading software, such as 4K Video Downloader, to put them onto a computer, which you can then wire up to a TV, or a smart TV or laptop on which you can follow the YouTube links directly. You can also Chromecast the videos from your phone onto a TV.

If you have any queries please direct these to John Leach via email or call 01522 50 40 50 x4108.

The remaining two afternoons are planned for Monday, 18th March and Saturday, 6th April, and further details, including booking information, may be found here and here, respectively.
