This celebration of Lay Ministry welcomed Peter Holmes and Pauline Wiggett as Readers and commissioned our new Warden of Lay Ministry in the Diocese, Lynne Smyth.

The installation ceremony was a vibrant celebration, featuring music from the Choirs of Lincoln Cathedral and Merton College, Oxford.
The diocese is excited about Simon becoming Dean of Lincoln, and we know that the cathedral community is looking forward to the new chapter under Simon’s leadership.
“I don’t underestimate the size of the task that lies ahead, but am greatly looking forward to working alongside Bishop Stephen, as well as colleagues and volunteers at the Cathedral, as together we build on the foundations laid by previous generations and seek God’s guidance for the future.”
