As we age we may be able to offer more, in terms of wisdom or time. We might also have particular needs because of mental or physical health.

Churches are great places through which to offer our gifts and receive the support of a caring community.

Most churches also have regular social activities and other groups aimed particularly at older people, such as coffee mornings, lunch clubs, ‘knit and natter’, ‘Men’s Sheds’ and more. You are welcome to attend, and you may also be able to help with their running.

A particular concern is for those with dementia, and for their carers. A growing number of churches have groups and services specifically designed for such people. We also have contacts with a wide variety of dementia support groups.

Please contact either your local church or the Mission Team for further information.
