The parishes of Careby with Holywell & Aunby, Castle Bytham, Creeton with Counthorpe and Little Bytham celebrated the end of Fr Ed’s ‘probationary period’ at his formal licensing as Priest in Charge on Thursday March 19, 2026. After a period of pastoral oversight by Fr Ed, the Diocese of Lincoln was delighted to welcome the Bishop of Richborough to officiate this joyous occasion. Ed and Lesley were warmly welcomed and supported by all the parishes for which Ed now holds oversight, including Edenham with Whitham on the Hill & Swinstead and Stamford St Mary’s.
With the support of the Diocese of Lincoln's Transformation Fund, a summer holiday project at Utterby Church has created a welcoming space where families can explore different hands-on activities, bringing the heritage of Utterby and its church life.
