What training do I need?
There are a number of different training pathways that are explored below with information on how to access and complete them. Different roles are required to complete specific training pathways for a number of reasons, information on what training is required to be completed in your role can be seen in the below Quick-Guide Grid.

*When in vacancy, it is recommended that churchwardens complete the Leadership Pathway and the Raising Awareness of Domestic Abuse module due to the increase in responsibility.
Tower captains at prominent towers (including Cathedrals, towers with frequent visitors or people learning) and the district chair / district safeguarding lead of bell ringing guilds/councils should complete the Leadership Pathway.

**Raising Awareness of Domestic Abuse is a requirement for anyone ticked in the table above plus those (volunteers and employees) working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults, including Bishops Visitors and Pastoral Visitors. It remains a recommendation for all other church officers.
***Only the highest of the core pathways held needs renewing every 3 years. Additional pathways should be renewed every 3 years. The Raising Awareness of Domestic Abuse and Safer Recruitment and People Management certificates should be renewed every 3 years.
