Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel

The Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP) has a responsibility to provide scrutiny, support and constructive challenge to safeguarding in the Diocese of Lincoln and Cathedral. DSAP provides independent advice and expertise to the diocese and Cathedral on a number of safeguarding areas including policies, practices and procedures.

A key priority of DSAP is the response to survivors and engaging with the Survivor Network.

DSAP has a responsibility of ensuring accountability through audit, quality assurance and lessons learnt reviews.

The Diocese of Lincoln Safeguarding Strategy can also be found here and covers the strategic aims. Adherence and progress made in accordance to the Strategy is monitored by a Delivery Plan Review Committee.

DSAP is committed engaging with survivors and victims and to ensure representation on DSAP. The Survivor Network group both provide input into DSAP and receive output from DSAP meetings.

Parish Safeguarding Officer DSAP Membership

The Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP) is looking for a Parish Safeguarding Officer to join the panel for 2026. They will bring a local, parish perspective on safeguarding, and will be a valuable source of knowledge in meetings.

To register your interest, please email felicity.borkertas@lincoln.anglican.org by Friday 19th December 2025. You will be contacted in January 2026.
