Read the storyThe Church of England has approved a comprehensive redress scheme for survivors of Church-related abuse.
However, the scheme is not open to receive applications, and the legislation approved by General Synod in July 2025 must still pass through the required parliamentary stages.
Eligible applicants may receive financial redress, therapeutic, spiritual and emotional support, acknowledgment of wrongdoing on the part of the Church, apology and other forms of bespoke redress.
